Subject: Town of Erie Resilience Workshops - the first one this Monday!

Hello Erie Board Members and Property Managers,

The Town of Erie Sustainability Division is hosting two Community Resilience Workshops this summer in collaboration with a team of Graduate Student Specialists from CU Boulder’s Masters of the Environment program. This effort is part of Phase I implementation of the Town’s newly adopted Resilience Action Plan (RAP). The workshops will gather information and feedback from participants to inform the development of a resilience workshop toolkit that will provide resources and guidance for neighborhoods and community groups interested in building environmental and community resilience.  The workshops will be approximately 3 hours and include an educational presentation along with activities to facilitate resilience planning for yourself, your family, and the Erie community.

Through attending one of these workshops, you will receive an introduction to climate resilience, learn best practices for personal and community-level resilience action, understand what resilience action looks like here in Erie, and gain practical experience that will empower your own resilience action planning.

There will be two workshops, Monday July 27 and Tuesday, August 18.  Dinner and drinks will be provided, and attendance is free of charge. All Erie residents are welcome.

We invite you to pass this exciting educational and community-building opportunity along to your residents.

Interested residents can sign up for either workshop through the following link.
