I hope this finds you well. The Sustainability Division has heard from some folks that it would be useful to have a flyer to share with their communities about our clean-up day events.

 

I have attached a flyer for our May 3rd 8a.m. to 2p.m. event at the Leon A Wurl Service Center (150 Bonnell/Lambert Ave). If it’s easier for you to share out links, you can always direct people to our webpage: https://www.erieco.gov/744/Clean-Up-Days.

Laura, I had a question for you.  We use to do a trash pick-up along Bonaza, but I was told we couldn't any more since that was for the city to do?  No one is doing it, why can't we do it like we use to?

Good morning Nancy,

You’re talking about the Adopt-A-Road program? According to the Erie website, updated November of last year, the whole of the airpark is still ‘Adopted’: Erie Adopt a Road Map . 

But you’re right, I remember participating in cleanups in the past but we haven’t organized one the last few years. I think it simply fell off the radar with some of the recent turmoil. We’ll look into it with the town and see if we can’t revive the practice.

I've not heard any reason why we couldn't do that... What a strange thing for someone say. If you'd like to help coordinate an event, maybe send a message to f...@eahoa.org and see if they'll help coordinate?
