Subject: New Water Meter Install - Week of 11.27
To:

Hi there,

Just wanted to make you aware that there will be some upcoming water meter work happening in your neighborhood. Starting Monday, Nov. 27, the Town of Erie, in collaboration with Metron Farnier, will begin replacing Badger water meters with Metron Farnier smart water meters. The initial phase includes 600 meters in various areas, notably Air Park, Erie Village, Sunwest, Canyon Creek, Meadow Sweet Farm, Orchard Glen, Arapahoe Ridge, Old Town, and Northridge.

The new meters are highly sensitive and accurate and can measure very low flow rates of water (as little as one-thirtieth of a gallon per minute), which equates to 0.033 gallons per minute (gpm). This level of precision allows for more accurate tracking of water usage, even at very low flow rates, which is beneficial for detecting leaks or small, continuous flows that older meters might not record.

There will be no traffic disruptions. For any issues, contact Chris Biggs at 303-926-2727 or Jared Muir at 303-926-2890. Installations are scheduled Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

For any other questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly!
