Hi Neighbors,

The email below was hand-delivered to those who live on each side of the Erie airport closed crosswind (east/west) runway, if they were home yesterday.  For those not home, they should be getting a copy of the letter in their snail mail post box early this week.

All of your neighbors in the air park that we have email addresses for are receiving this email.  Please share with those who are not on our list. As said in the letter, your HOA just wants to make sure everyone receives the latest information directly from the sources who provide it and not the rumor mill.

Your Erie Air Park HOA board wants to make sure all residents are aware that the Town of Erie has contracted with a feasibility study company to explore revenue generating options for the closed crosswind (east/west) runway. Options the town representatives mentioned at the annual meeting in February include a solar farm, housing, and t-hangar runways. They admitted the access would have to come from Bonanza and that they face challenges from the fact that the city does not own the land where any access would have to be taken from Bonanza (lot owners own to the centerline east of the crosswind runway).
