Dear EALE friends and colleagues,

Let me remind you that the next General Assembly of our association will take place on:

Friday 19 September, 2025 in the afternoon

during our annual conference.

All conference participants are members of the EALE Association and are all kindly invited to participate in the General Assembly.

Agenda

Election of two new board members.

As announced, Rosa Ferrer will be stepping down from the Board of the Association this year after completing her second term. Josh Teitelbaum is concluding his first term on the Board.

Regarding the two open positions, the Board is pleased to nominate Josh Teitelbaum for a second term (2025–2028). Josh is a professor of law at Georgetown University and currently serves as Interim Dean of the Law Center. Throughout his first term, he has been a highly engaged and effective member of the Board. Given his strong contributions and continued commitment, the Board unanimously and enthusiastically supports his re-election.
More information about Josh Teitelbaum can be found on his website:

https://www.law.georgetown.edu/faculty/joshua-c-teitelbaum/

The Board is also pleased to nominate Samantha Bielen, Associate Professor at the University of Hasselt. Samantha is an accomplished scholar with an extensive publication record in law and economics, health economics, and criminal justice. In addition to her academic expertise, she brings valuable practical insight and a strong connection to Belgium, where the association is incorporated. The Board is therefore highly supportive of her candidacy.

More information about Samantha Bielen can be found on her website:

If any other EALE member would like to be candidate for the next election, please send me an email (secr...@eale.org) before August 30th, 2025.

Other items of the general assembly:
