Dear colleague,
REAL (Research group “Economics, policy analysis, and language”), in cooperation with the Universität Potsdam, Ulster University, Andrássy-Universität Budapest, and IPSA RC50-The politics of languages, organises the "Sixth REAL Symposium on Language Economics and Policy" on 4–5 June 2026 at the University of Potsdam, Germany.
The REAL symposia aim to discuss all aspects of language economics and language policy. Language policy can be viewed as a form of public regulation of the structure and use of languages that may employ both rules and incentive-based mechanisms to achieve its results. The symposium is interdisciplinary, and contributions are accepted from law and economics.
Click here to read the full call for papers, list of keynote speakers, and the submission process. Deadline for abstract submission: 1 February 2026.
All the best,
Michele Gazzola
