Call for Papers [Linked Special Issue JCLE] – Workshop on Data-Related Remedies in Digital Platform Markets, Stellenbosch (South Africa)

The Centre for Competition Law and Economics at Stellenbosch University and the Brussels Centre for Competition Policy at Vrije Universiteit Brussel invite you to submit papers for the Workshop on Data-Related Remedies in Digital Platform Markets, taking place on Friday, 14 November 2025, in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

This workshop will bring together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore (implications of) approaches to safeguarding competition in digital platform markets. Key topics of interest include platform neutrality, data-focused regulation, and structural remedies.

To participate, please submit an abstract (max. 500 words) by 30 May 2025to bc...@vub.be and wim...@sun.ac.za with the subject line: "Workshop on Data-Related Remedies in Digital Platform Markets - Abstract Submission". Final papers are due by 3 October 2025.

Selected papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Competition Law & Economics. The registration fee is $250, but is waived for PhD students.
