Hi everyone,
Western Law is hiring to fill two chaired positions, each of which could potentially be held by a researcher in law and economics. These are:
The Chair in Mining Law and Finance. My understanding is that this is open to all ranks, and that they expect candidates to have a degree in law (as well as a doctoral degree in the relevant discipline for their research.)
The DANCAP Chair in Corporate Governance. This is for a joint position with the DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies. My understanding is that they prefer to hire a full professor but are open to hiring an associate professor (tenured or pre-tenure), and that they do not require a law degree for the position.
I have attached the advertisements for both of these positions. Feel free to share them with anyone who might be interested. I am not on the hiring committee, but will happily answer any questions about working at Western, including our growing law and economics community.
Best wishes,
Alan Miller
