The Workshop aims to provide early-career economists with an opportunity to present and discuss their research in the field of Social Economy, while fostering exchange with both peers and established scholars. We welcome theoretical, empirical, and experimental contributions addressing topics such as social capital, social norms, cooperative and social enterprises, social preferences, and relational goods.

March 31st 2026. Submissions from PhD candidates are highly encouraged.
The event will take place at the University of Bologna, Forlì Campus, and is designed to promote an open and collegial environment conducive to the discussion of high-quality research. The program will include regular sessions, preceded by two introductory keynote lectures delivered by Giorgia Romagnoli (University of Amsterdam) and Michele Fioretti (Bocconi University).
The organizers will cover the cost of the social dinner for all participants and one night of accommodation for speakers. There is no registration fee; however, participants are kindly expected to attend all sessions.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a prize will be awarded to the paper deemed most innovative: the 2026 Young Economists’ Workshop on Social Economy Award.
