Dear Everyone,
It has been an incredible privilege and honour to work with the EAL community over the decades, but now the time has come for me to move on.
Since founding Mantra Lingua in 2002, our ability to survive and thrive has been driven by a commitment to staying ahead of technological trends.
Times have not always been easy, particularly in the face of diminishing government support. To remain economically viable, we expanded our reach internationally, particularly in the U.S.
Now, at the age of 77, I am ready to pursue other endeavours.
As of today, Mantra Lingua is under new ownership. The new owners, in fact, are our long-time printers who understand the unique work that we do. They have exciting and creative plans to expand the reach of bilingual books on a global scale. One groundbreaking development they’re working on is the ability to produce individual books in any combination of dual languages, with delivery possible within days—a significant step forward for bilingualism.
Please rest assured, Mantra Lingua will continue to serve the EAL community both in the UK and internationally. It gives a very import service to the most under-privileged children in UK by a group of super
dedicated staff. The terrific work the EAL community does, with their deep expertise, resources, and support for each other must continue and I hope it is recognised on a global scale. Mantra Lingua are Gold Sponsors of this year’s NALDIC conference.
As far as the transition is concerned between Mantra Lingua and schools, nurseries and libraries, nothing will change in the interim period. In a few months the website will change with many exciting ideas for customer engagement and support.
Once again, I want to express my heartfelt thanks and best wishes to everyone. I look forward to seeing how Mantra Lingua continues to grow and serve the community under its new leadership. For myself, painting, travel and work with the Visually Impaired community will continue. In fact the latter is very exciting but with a simpler operation that does not need the attention to deep detail that publishing does.
With gratitude and warm regards,
Robene

Robene, it has been a pleasure to work with you over the years both in London and Norfolk. Your Mantra Lingua legacy is wonderful and on behalf of all those children whose faces have lit up as they heard their own language jump off the page at the touch of a PenPal.. I wish you a fabulous (semi) retirement

Dear Robene,
A huge thank you to you and your colleagues for the wonderful journey you have provided with bilingual books.
I have very fond memories of working with Mishti, early in the century, to support a group of teachers involved in action research on the use of bilingual books in East London schools. Mantra supported those teachers with books, advice and encouragement.
The children I later researched, who learned to read in their first language using your books, loved them, and so did my young granddaughters learning to read in French.
Thank you for your support, for your vision, and the range and development at Mantra.
May Mantralingua thrive under new management and may you enjoy a productive and happy retirement
With very best wishes from a grateful linguist
