Hi everyone
We have a deaf Ukrainian pupil, aged 16.
This young person has only attended schools for dead children in Ukraine. They can only communicate via Ukrainian Sign language (although they are trying to self-teach BSL ).
We are trying to find some creative ways to support them . We have a Sensory Support Service who may be able to offer help. I wonder if there is any access to a signer who is Ukrainian and knows BSL as well. Support via TEAMS could be funded if we can find the right person.
Thanks for any advice you can offer 😊
Kind regards
