Subject: EAL access and progression for resettled refugees in London

I would be grateful if you could cascade this opportunity to share experiences and insights to your school networks.

The Mayor of London and the Home Office jointly fund the regional ESOL coordinator for London. Their role is to improve access to ESOL for resettled refugees and others with English language needs in London. To support this work, we collect experiences and insights in an annual ESOL survey on access to and progression in/from ESOL/EAL for resettled refugees.

Findings, including good practice, challenges and gaps, are shared with relevant policy colleagues in central government and the GLA. Organisations supporting people who have Refugee Status and English language needs are invited to  share their experiences of meeting the ESOL/EAL needs of refugees, including adults, children and young people. Please select the relevant survey below. Deadline: 27 May 2024.
