Good afternoon,
I have had a request from one of our schools.
The pupil’s parents have work contracts at a local hospital and came to the UK to work.
The child has complex needs and school are very keen to move forward with an EHCP, but parents are very reluctant to ask for any help as they believe it might affect their residency application. Parents shared that they had a similar conversation with another local Children’s Hospital but had refused support.
To my knowledge, this will have no impact on their residency application. If the child needs medical support, they need medical support. It would have no bearing on a visa/residency application. However, they are looking for a definitive answer from a source as to whether it will impact their application. Where do I go please?
Kind regards,
Louise Ellis
