New-to-English Schools Questionnaire (10–15 minutes)

The New-to-English Resources Project is a collaboration between the Queen Mary Language Acquisition Lab and Tower Hamlets Education Partnership (THEP). Together with teachers, community experts, and families, we are co-developing practical, tailored, and freely available classroom resources to support pupils who are New to English (including newly arrived pupils and those who start school with limited English).

We are inviting primary and secondary schools in England to complete a short (10–15 minute) questionnaire about current practice and support needs. We are keen to hear from a wide range of schools so the resources reflect real classroom contexts and diverse experiences.

Responses are anonymous and will directly inform the next stage of co-developing the resources.
