EMC does an excellent job on this course. Ideally an English teacher needs to attend with an EAL teacher and then they are in a good position to feed back to the rest of the school.

Dear Colleague,

Did you know that the majority of students taught in mixed-attainment settings have better outcomes than those who aren't? And that's before factoring the emotional and social benefits that can come from learning in a mixed context.

Teaching mixed-attainment is not straightforward, though, which is why we've designed a course that gives attendees insights and practical strategies into how to design lessons and teach them in ways that offer access and challenge for all involved.
