Hi everyone,

I have recently started using the Bell Foundation materials including the tracker - 1 per year group. I was just wondering if anyone uses a separate target sheet for each student where evidence can be recorded. Or what does the Bell Foundation recommend? Trying not to create too much duplication though.

Thank you
Hilary

Dear Hilary

Thank you for using our materials.  The Tracker has been designed to be used per pupil, so that it can assist with meaningful assessment of one learner’s progression and targets over a one year period (separated into 3 terms). At the moment there is no capability to track more than one pupil in the Tracker, though we know that this is something that many teachers find useful, so is something we will bear in mind for future development. We recommend downloading one copy of the Tracker and saving this as a ‘master’ copy, before then copying and pasting it so that you can use one per pupil (perhaps, for example, naming the tracker with the pupil’s name in the title). To find out more about how to use the tracker, you may want to watch these user guide videos: EAL Assessment Tracker User guide - YouTube The videos do not need to be viewed in order, but it might be useful to start by watching the following videos first:  ‘1. Introduction to the Tracker’ and video ‘2. How to use the Tracker – the basics’.

We hope you will find this helpful.

Kind Regards

The Bell Foundation
