Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to send a quick reminder about our event next Tuesday at 4pm: How to Teach about (Forced) Migration: A Schools of Sanctuary Event.

Teaching about people seeking sanctuary has long been part of the Schools of Sanctuary programme and award - but how can we make sure we are doing this thoughtfully and meaningfully?

Over the past year, I have been working on a project with partners at the University of Newcastle on this exact question - and we now want to share what we've learnt, drawing on contributions and experiences from across our network. We will share practical activities and be inviting primary aged teachers to participate in an exciting trial to evaluate this approach and help us develop the best resources to support you.

Please note: even if you cannot attend the event, I encourage you to register to receive the recording, catch up and then receive the link to participate in the trial and access an early-bird version of the resources.

As we head towards Refugee Week in June - this is a perfect opportunity to make sure planned teaching activities will have a positive impact!
