7.4GB for demo..I have some CD's from magazine in my closed (since 2000 year) which include 6-7 demo games + other things on just 700mb CD.
Maybe in 10 years the demos will be around 50gb,who knows..

A demo for a horror game can go a long way toward really pulling gamers in; you just hope that when the full game comes out you haven't seen all the tricks. But I'm sure there will still be plenty of new types of scares in the full game.
You can definitely feel the Resident Evil 7 / Outlast vibes this game puts out, which is a good thing! For such a short demo it definitely feels very polished and will eagerly be awaiting a more finalized product!
Outlast is a very linear game.l It's rare to find a section of the game where you move freely, open doors or enter rooms that you shouldn't. This linearity has two clear objectives: the first is to keep you scared. If the game didn't have control over what you do or where you go, it couldn't activate certain unexpected events that make you jump out of your chair.
This is an odd one. I played the "Beginning Hour" demo for RE7 way back when, and was immediately put off by it's quasi-Outlast style gameplay. As a result, I completely wrote the game off as one of that ilk. You know, skulking about running and hiding for ten hours straight.
Now I'm wondering what else I slept on as a result of misleading promotional material. A misleading demo is a pretty rare thing I think, but I'm sure there were plenty of trailers and whatnot that gave precisely the wrong impression. Anyone else come across something like this?
