We would like to take students from the following branches only – CSE, IT and ECE only.
For (A) Software Engineers and (B)Implementation Engineers, we need a cut off of 70% and above in all academics (10th, 12th and Engineering). Starting salaries will be around INR 2.8 LPA – the only deductions being PF, their take home will be around INR 21000
per month.
A – Software Engineers and Implementation engineers:
This group will have a common test comprising of aptitude, Linux, databases, C, C++ and Java. Good communication skills are also important. Other details are as follows:
Role of Software Engineer:
* Coding and Unit Testing
* R&D
* Agile Process for development
* Integration Cases
* Code Reviews
* Design Reviews
* Simulation Environment & Simulators
* Review Meeting
* Project Mile stones
v Individual Deliverables both as Document and Software
Role of an Implementation Engineer:
1 - Timely complete implementation (deployment/commissioning/IOT/VT/AT/Training) activities
for getting AT/FFC/Go-Live certificate form customer, ensure no punch lists / pending activity
2 - Handle on-site O&M and support activities
3 - Routine sanity checks for proper operation of Six DEE’s products
4 - Debugging of issues and resolution. Provide sufficient data (logs, configurations, traces, etc.) to development team if issues are escalated
5 - Ensure Six DEE’s installations at customer site are maintained as per standards
6 – Strong Telecom Concepts – SS7, GSM, CDMA
7 - Well versed with Linux environment
10 - Client/Customer interfacing
11 - Good problem solving skills
12 - Good Knowledge about the server side and OS installation.
13 - Should be familiar with databases like MySQL/Oracle.
For Support Engineers, we need a cut off of not below 60% in all academics (10th, 12th and Engineering). Starting salaries will be around INR 2 LPA – the only deductions being PF, their take home will be around INR 15000 per month.
This group will have a test on Linux, databases and aptitude. Good communication skills are also important. Other details are as follows:
Role of a Support Engineer (they will be trained):
1 - Subject Matter Expert to resolve Six DEE product / service related issues and support Level-1 / Level-2 Team
2 - Analyze and resolve issues or provide patch / workaround solution on priority
3 - Owner of Level-2 escalated customer raised issue till resolution
4 - Ensure SLA (Service Level Agreements) are not violated by following escalation matrix
5 - Debugging of issues and resolution. Provide sufficient data (logs, configurations, traces, etc.) to development team if issues taken up for defect fixing
6 - Usage of automated CRM / Bug tracking systems for handling Customer issues
7 - Follow-up with development team for getting an emergency patch / fix for closing issues.
8 - Close all resolved issues by sending email to customer, after getting customer confirmation
9 - Build/update FAQ’s repository
10 - Provide inputs and support Architect and Product Development teams for product Improvement
11 - Handle on-site O&M and support activities
12 - Ensure Six DEE installations at customer site are maintained as per standards
13 - Timely complete implementation (deployment/commissioning/IOT/VT/AT/Training) activities for getting AT/FFC/Go-Live certificate form customer, ensure no punch lists / pending activity
14 - Routine sanity checks for proper operation of Six DEE products
