Luke 22:42
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me:
nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
I seem to have a problem applying this concept in my life. Many times
God's will be done means not getting the jobs I want, or not getting a
quick answer to prayer I want or it may mean God allowing me to go
through humiliating circumstances for his purposes. I pray often
asking for God's will and then ask God to help make my heart to match
my prayers. I admit being scared and unsure in the flesh, but absolute
in the spirit that God knows best and that all things work together
for good to them that love God and thee called according to his
purpose (Romans 8:28). Anyone else struggle with this or have
something to share concerning asking for God's will.
