Subject: Fwd: Eagle Lake

Marc,

Aqua-Weed would like to get out on the Lake for treatment on Tuesday
June 8th. Please coordinate the gate for that day. Below is their
notes from their visit yesterday and contact restrictions. It sounds
like Starry Stonewort has really hit the lake hard.

Thanks,
Brian

Brian,

Did a survey of the lake today. We found no eurasian milfoil in the
offshore areas of the lake. There were some small areas along the
shoreline that require treatment as shown on the map. The biggest
concern is the Starry Stonewort. It seems to be taking over the
entire
lake. I am proposing a fairly large treatment to control the
starry.
Please see the attached map.

Treatment would be on Tuesday June 8th, the signs would be posted on
the
7th. Restrictions would be 24 hrs. for swimming, 7 days for turf,
crop
& domestic use. Please note dogs swimming in the lake would fall
under
the 24 hr. restriction.

Also find attached information about starry stonewort to pass along
to
the homeowners.

Let me know if you have any questions,
Steve

Here's some additional comments from our Oakland County Commissioner
representative, Tom Middleton:

Marc
Starry Stonewort is getting to be a problem in many lakes in our area
and it is hard to kill becuse it is so thick.
I had a call from Carolyn Webford 4613 Highland about lilly pads in
front of her house. I told her that I did not think we could kill them
but would talk to some one about what we could do.
