Tom,

We appreciate your input. Getting feedback from the residents
utilizing Eagle Lake better helps us to understand how to manage it.
We will certainly look in to the weed you were inquiring about for
next years treatments. Also, feel free to utilize the website that
the Eagle Lake Improvement Board has developed to post any further
thoughts you might have (http://groups.google.com/group/eagle-lake).

As a side note, you sent your original e-mail to David Bluhm. David
no longer works with our company.

Thanks again,

You probably do not get a lot of emails saying things are better but
this is one. The 2009 weed treatments were right on time.

In 2008 the weed treatments were late and we seemed to be playing
catch-up all season.

This year it was done early and done a second time and the water
quality seemed a lot better. Whatever chemicals were used seemed to do
the trick except for one species. I live mid-lake on the north side.
My neighbors and I still having problems with one type of weed which
looks like a round bloom, close to the bottom. It is extremely dense
and is everywhere. By comparing it to pictures off the internet, I
think it is Southern Naiad or more commonly called Bushy Pondweed.

I was wondering if next year the chemicals could be changed to attack
this type of weed also?

Thanks for great job this year and we are looking forward to more
improvements next.

Hi Mark,
I talked with All Star Aquatics, the day that they applied the second application. They were aware that particular weed was in the lake and were treating it while I was talking with them. Or so they said. They told me the name of the weed but I don't remember what it was.
They also said that they could not kill it but the chemical they were applying would shrink it down. Well whatever they applied did not touch it, it is now just starting to die off due to the season. I thnk that this needs further investigation.
                                                                            Thanks,
