Join WIDA this summer for professional learning!

" We like the WIDA framework because it gives us a strong specific way to measure student needs and progress. It provides both teacher tools and learning opportunities and we use it to measure the success of our program. With numerous other international schools also using the tool it provides a common ground of understanding for comparing programs and for recruiting teachers." (Deputy Head of School)

Learning Support + EAL = Collaboration for Inclusion
June 30-July 3, 2019
Genoa, Italy

Join us on June 30-July 3 for a four-day exploration of how we can integrate, rather than fragment, education and ensure all teachers collaborate to serve all learners. We know that students receiving EAL and Learning Support are not necessarily discrete populations, and we know that all students benefit from the combined expertise of all specialists. In this highly interactive course, participants will explore how effective collaboration supports equitable outcomes for all learners. Co-facilitated by an EAL teacher and a Learning Support teacher, this hands-on workshop builds on twenty years of research and practice.

WIDA International Institute
July 22-25, 2019
Madison, WI

The WIDA Institute is a four-day comprehensive introduction to explore the WIDA Standards and Assessment System. An institute is a first step in learning how WIDA resources work together to support multilingual students and their teachers. Institute participants will also benefit from networking opportunities with international educators both in person and through an online community forum.

Because WIDA is housed within the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) on the UW-Madison Campus, participants have a chance to visit the WIDA headquarters while enjoying time in beautiful Madison, WI. The campus itself is one of America’s most beautiful college campuses, according to Travel and Leisure magazine.

Join us on July 22-25 and be ready to start the next school year focused on what you and your learners can do!

Register by April 25, 2019 for Early Bird Pricing!
