Advice/suggestion request (please feel free to forward to other lists and summarise their response)
Hi all,
I am running workshops in Moscow with people used to working hard and fast, and used to high-speed lectures, lots of input, lots of theory, few practical/experiential exercises for the first 80% of a workshop, and simultaneous translation (which does speed things up but which I don't have).
I am noticing myself judging the request for a higher pace of delivery, and missing the time/space for connection.
How do others cope with this/adapt their usual style? (I live in a very slow English village!)
I'd be very grateful for any concrete practical suggestions, self-empathy suggestions and strategic suggestions.
My next workshops are 2-3 days on leadership and empathy.
Ray
