Dear all,
I am pleased to announce that Irmtraud Kauschat, Dominic Barter and Bob Wentworth have joined the CNVC board.
I am thrilled to have three NVC trainers on the board, each of whom bring unique experience in geographic organising (Irmtraud), topical global collaboration (Dominic) and non-profit governance (Bob) beyond their general NVC qualifications & experience. I am also pleased with the geographic diversity this represents.
I want to thank all who have volunteered as candidates and also that all candidates have shown support for the pragmatic approach proposed (i.e. an initial appointment followed by wider dialogue with all candidates with less time pressure and room for exploring various ways of structuring ways of contribution that will work for all). We have agreed a 9 months term initially to balance the desire for a degree of continuity with a signal that we want to be open to what emerges and honour the fact that there was not time to explore all candidacies in a manner that would do them justice.
I also wanted to thank those in the network who have supported the proposed approach and the trust and encouragement many have given me and also thank Miki, whose ideas are noted for the next phase but who gave mer her blessing after some dialogue around what would be realistic and in integrity given the short time-frame and timing of Marshall & Valentina's resignations from the board.
The 'back in compliance' board looks forward to dialogue both with the candidates, staff and the wider network as we all look to continue to grow Marshall's work and work with Marshall & Valentina in ways that work for us and them.
To an exciting 2012 and us all bringing more of the consciousness and distinctions Marshall's work brings to a world that can clearly benefit from it on so many levels and bring us all joy, learning and growth in the process.

PS: I feel I should briefly explain why we have ended up with a board of 4 as I had proposed a board of 3 as the first step. I was minded to invite Irmtraud and Dominic initially. Dominic was on holidays longer than I was aware of which made me turn to Irmtraud and Bob. Dominic then returned just before a planned 3-way call and we had a 4-way call and felt it made a very complementary group to get started with and if we explained the sequence of events, both the other candidates and the wider network would hopefully be in support.
