Dear Silvani,

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar, Phasing out PVC in healthcare: Are we there yet? (https://europe.noharm.org/events/webinar-phasing-out-pvc-healthcare-are-we-there-yet?mc_cid=a07d04897c&mc_eid=UNIQID)

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), still widely used in medical devices and hospital products, can release hazardous additives that pose real risks to patients, healthcare workers, and the environment (http://apps.who.int/iris/handle/10665/362049?mc_cid=a07d04897c&mc_eid=UNIQID) . Fortunately, hospitals are increasingly taking steps to replace it with safer alternatives. Still, important questions remain: how close are we to achieving PVC-free healthcare, and what more needs to be done to get there? This webinar will bring together evidence, policy perspectives, and real-world experience to explore exactly that.

📅 Date: 3 June
⏱️ Time: 14:00 (CEST)
📍 Location: Online (Zoom)

** What we will explore
------------------------------------------------------------
* The current evidence on the health impacts of PVC in healthcare
* Progress, challenges, and practical lessons from PVC-free implementation
* What will it take to accelerate the transition in the coming years

This event is co-organised by HCWH Europe and Health and Environment Justice Support (HEJ Support) (https://hej-support.org/?mc_cid=a07d04897c&mc_eid=UNIQID)  as part of the PVC-free healthcare (https://europe.noharm.org/circular-healthcare/pvc-free-healthcare?mc_cid=a07d04897c&mc_eid=UNIQID) project, and will review where we are today and explore what is needed next to advance safer, PVC-free healthcare systems.

** Call for evidence
------------------------------------------------------------
To build on this momentum, we are also collecting evidence and practical examples of how healthcare organisations are replacing PVC in their daily practice. We invite you to contribute, for example, by sharing:
* Practical examples of switching to PVC-free alternatives
* Case studies or pilot projects from your institution
* Research, data, or evaluations on PVC substitution
* Lessons learned, challenges, and success factors

We will feature selected contributions in our upcoming publications and webinars to help inspire and inform others across Europe.

We are particularly interested in examples from German-speaking countries, but we warmly welcome submissions from all regions. Let us know how you are making a difference at eur...@hcwh.org (mailto:eur...@hcwh.org?subject=Call%20for%20evidence%3A%20PVC-free%20healthcare) .

Thank you for supporting this important initiative.
