This is a kind reminder to register for the Regional Workshop for Africa, Europe and Asia happening this Wednesday. Organized by the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) under the GEF-funded, UNEP-led Global NIP Update Project (GEF ID 10785), this workshop will focus on “Stockholm Convention Integrated Electronic Toolkit: NIP Harmonized Template and Online Submission”.

The aim of this workshop is to familiarize Parties with the Stockholm Convention Integrated Electronic Toolkit, which provides a harmonized format and online interface for preparing and submitting National Implementation Plans (NIPs). Most Stockholm Convention Official Contact Points and National Focal Points should already have received their access credentials. We strongly encourage them to review the backend interface of the toolkit, NIP harmonized template in advance of the session and prepare questions/feedback for an interactive discussion.
The workshop will include:
- A live demo on how to use the toolkit,
- Interactive exchanges on country experiences drafting NIPs,
- Feedback on the NIP (as in the toolkit) template’s usability and feasibility for this NIP cycle.
The session will also explore challenges related to official online submission and potential hybrid solutions to address legal or procedural barriers some countries may face.
📌 Event format
The workshop will be held online via Zoom and conducted in English. Interpretation into French and Russian will be provided. Following the event, a full recording, presentation materials,
and key insights will be made available on GGKP’s platform. Selected highlights may also be shared as blog posts and articles via the GEF 10785 project website and the Green Forum.
This workshop is scheduled in the time zone of Africa, Europe and Asia. However, registration is open to all countries.
