Evidence to action: Preventing lead poisoning to save lives

Join us Monday morning, 18 May, when Bloomberg Philanthropies, Resolve to Save Lives and WHO will co-organize a breakfast event alongside the World Health Assembly to discuss WHO’s forthcoming Technical Package on Lead Poisoning Prevention. The event is at Vieux Bois directly outside the entrance to the Palais des Nation. Register to attend in-person or watch the livestream.

 
 
 

Webinar description

In response to World Health Assembly resolution 78.27 (2025), WHO is developing a draft Global Action Plan for Lead, as well as a WHO Technical Package for Lead Poisoning Prevention in collaboration with Resolve to Save Lives.

Following the first webinar in March 2026 to introduce these initiatives, this webinar provides an update of and invites further input on:

  • draft Global Action Plan
  • Approaches to assessing and prioritizing data for action
  • Key capacities required
  • Strategies for addressing major sources of lead exposure

Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback through interactive polls that will inform lead poisoning prevention efforts.
