Thursday (12/8): Casual Social Meetup at The Buzz Mill

Where? The Buzz Mill, 1505 Town Creek Dr, Austin, TX
There is no official reading or discussion topic to start this week's meetup. Instead, it will be just casual socializing about anything EA-related from beginning to end.
If you're disappointed about that (unlikely!), I suggest picking an item from Forecasting Fundamentals - Resources/Links to learn about and coming to EA Austin's Forecasting Workshop this Sunday!
Parking: Do not park at Dairy Queen; they tow. Parking at The Buzz Mill sometimes fills up, in which case we suggest parking in the large Walgreens parking lot across the street.
Food: There are two food trucks at The Buzz Mill (one is vegan).

What is EA Austin? EA Austin is the local chapter of the global Effective Altruism community. Effective altruism is a project that aims to find the best ways to help others and put them into practice. It's both a research field, which aims to identify the world’s most pressing problems and the best solutions to them, and a practical community that aims to use those findings to do good.
