If you were not able to attend the 2025 U.S. Conference on Teaching Statistics (USCOTS) at Iowa State last month, you might be interested to know that recordings of keynote sessions, and materials from many session presenters, are now freely available online.

Recordings are available here for keynote presentations from Paul Roback (Liberal Arts Statistics Symposium), Anna Fergusson (Research Satellite), Beth Chance, Hadley Wickham, Zarek Drozda (banquet presentation), Prince Afriyie, and Jeff Witmer.  Recordings are also available for the opening and closing sessions and for the banquet session, which includes A-mu-sing performances by Heather Nichols, Larry Lesser, and Michael Posner, and presentation of the George Cobb Award for Lifetime Achievement in Statistics Education to Beth Chance.

Also, many USCOTS presenters (keynotes, workshops, breakouts, posters) have provided their materials (slides, handouts, etc.) to be posted on the USCOTS program webpages.  Follow links from the program page here, and then look on the bottom of individual session pages (below the session abstract) for a link to the materials.

Finally, please mark your calendar for next year’s Electronic Conference on Teaching Statistics (eCOTS), to be held on June 15-18, 2026.  The conference theme is “Sparking Joy and Discovery in a World of AI.”  Watch for announcements and information to appear here.

Thanks for reading, and best wishes for the upcoming academic year,

Allan Rossman
