Hello everyone!

We hope your semesters/quarters are wrapping up well and you are looking forward to a well deserved break. As you think ahead to January and beyond, we wanted to draw your attention to a handful of professional development opportunities we will be offering - supported by our ongoing NSF IUSE EAPost grant.

1. Returning for the fourth time - apply to participate in our EAPost scholar mentoring program, where we pair instructors teaching statistics content this coming term with experts to advise on pedagogy and content changes in your classroom. Additional details and application are here. Preferred application deadline is Dec 19th. Stipends available. Apply now! 

2. Save the date/time for our upcoming January webinar series. Fridays at 3PM ET/12PM PT in January.

January 9 - Beth Chance and Sheri Johnson - Sampling names activity
January 16 - Laura Callis - Paper airplanes activity
January 30 - Jen McNally and Laura Callis - DISCUS-IS pedagogical support website launch webinar

3. Join us in warm, sunny Altamonte Springs, Florida for an in person workshop this January 30-31, 2026. Learn more and sign up here. Workshop is free but advanced registration by January 19 is required. Limited travel funds are available.

All of these are free, and limited travel funding is available for the Florida workshop.
