We are excited to let you know about an upcoming webinar that we hope you will join us for! This webinar will include two of our current EAPost mentees discussing recent class activities they’ve implemented including recommendation and suggestions!

Who are they presenters: Julia Costacurta and Nicole Seaders, both of whom are currently in our NSF grant funded EAPost Scholars mentoring program. Julia Costacurta is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Statistics at Haverford College. Nicole Seaders is faculty in the Mathematics Department at Linn-Benton Community College
What: Title: Using real data and technology. Description: EAPOST Scholars will discuss recent class activities they have used with data from news articles, current events, local governance and data collected on students, as well as how they conducted the class activities, used applets, and assessed student understanding in accordance with the 2025 GAISE college recommendations. Discussion will include recommendations for where to find similar datasets and further suggestions from the audience.
Who should attend: Anyone who is teaching statistics, anticipates teaching statistics or is considering being in the EAPost Scholars mentoring program in the future
