Saturday's (Sept 21) meeting:
Now that the Wx has cooled off enough, we'll have pancake breakfast again at 10AM, with the program starting at 11A!
Our program will be about CFIT, presented by the Richmond FSDO.
There will be time for Q&A, also we'll have an update on
"October Skies," a collaborative between Chapters 186 Manassas,
231 Richmond, 1099 Fredericksburg, and of course ourselves 1563
Gordonsville.
Nominations!
It's time for me to roll off as president. Being a chapter
officer shouldn't be a life sentence y'know. So, since the
chapter has to have a president to continue, someone else will
need to step up to the plate. It's really pretty easy, and you'll
have me to encourage and guide you. Generally it takes a few
minutes each month to gather and send out the meeting
announcement, then lead the meetings, and the occasional
representation of the chapter for other tasks. It does take a
commitment to make the meetings, although the other officers step
up when necessary. When I took over, our corporation and
non-profit status were a mess, but Fred and I got things
straightened out and it has been blue skies and calm winds since.
So, think about serving and preserving your Chapter, and step up
to the plate. Remember, you get out of an organization what you
put into it, and serving as an officer is the best way to really
be a part and get the most enjoyment from your Chapter!
As usual, we will also be broadcasting the meeting/program via
Zoom if you're quarantined or otherwise unable to attend in
person:

But alas! You'll have to be in person for the pancakes!
