Spot designation is N6.Labeled Sweet Breeze Aviation, but it's the airport!!

Hello,

 

This year’s Fried Chicken Festival is just a week away, and we truly appreciate you being a part of this year’s festivities! So that everyone has the information in one place, I am including the key details for next week below, and I have attached the layout map (along with booth assignments) to this email as a pdf.

 

Please note that the designated parking area for vendor vehicles is located at Preddy’s Funeral Home: 301 S Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942.

GORDONSVILLE FRIED CHICKEN FESTIVAL

Saturday, October 4, 2025

Festival Hours:  10:00am-4:00pm

Downtown Main Street Gordonsville, VA 22942

 

 

  1. Setup Time: 7:00am-9:00 am (all vehicles must be cleared from the festival area by 9:00am)
  1. Check In:  Upon arrival, go directly to the entry point for the zone your booth is assigned to and check in with the volunteer posted there.  They will confirm your space number and direct you to your exact location.
  2. Unload promptly at your space, move your vehicle to designated vendor parking, and then return to complete setup.

 

  1. Booth information
  1. Standard space 10’x10’ (unless otherwise arranged beforehand)
  2. Bring your own tents, tables and chairs
  3. Tent weights are required (no staking in pavement)
  4. Keep all materials within your footprint; do not block walkways or your neighbor’s space.

 

  1. Event Schedule
  1. Festival Hours: 10:00am -4:00pm   Vendors must remain open for full event
  2. No vehicles are allowed in the festival area during the event hours (10am-4pm)
  3. Breakdown: Begins after 4:00pm.  Vehicles may re-enter only when event area is cleared of attendees and staff give the all-clear.
  4. Important: Vendors are required to remain open and at the festival until 4pm.

 

  1. Weather and Safety
  1. Event is rain or shine – plan for sun, wind, or showers (weights, sidewall, covers)
  2. In case of severe weather or safety concerns, follow instructions from Town of Gordonsville staff or public safety.

 

  1. Power, Parking and Trash
  1. Power will not be provided.  Please plan accordingly with battery packs or quiet generators (if permitted in advance) after unloading, park in designated vendor parking area only.
  2. Pack in, Pack out:  Remove all trash/debris from your space at day’s end.

 

  1. Compliance
  1. Have your Virginia Sales Tax ID available if requested
  2. Follow all instructions from Event Staff, volunteers and public safety.
  3. Day-of assistance:  Your contacts for the event will be the volunteers at each entry point and the Gordonsville Welcome Tent
