AIR RACING

Andy Mack is a private pilot and Aerospace Engineer based in Tehachapi, CA. He leads Impulse Space rocket testing at Mojave Air & Spaceport at Rutan Field in Mojave, CA. For the past two years he has been preparing to race his Cassutt IIM “Cheap Thrills” in the Formula One Class at the National Championship Air Races. Andy will give insight into the preparation and training it takes for an average private pilot to compete in air racing and share his recent experiences as a rookie at the first ever air races in Roswell, N.M.
