Fun, Freedom, and Adventure

Our program celebrates the fun, freedom, and adventure of flying to 239 public airports across California. Founded in September 2025, we are currently in our grassroots phase, building a program that supports general aviation airports, local businesses, and educational opportunities within the aviation community.

The Fly California Passport Program is designed by the community, for the community, to ensure its long-term success. Our goal is to give pilots an exciting reason to fly, beyond the typical “$150 hamburger,” while boosting aviation-related economic activity and helping keep California’s public airports open by encouraging visits to destinations throughout the state.

How to Participate
To join the Fly California Passport Program, you’ll need an official Fly CA Passport book. This book will be used to collect stamps at each airport you visit. The program is open to everyone: student pilots, private pilots, commercial pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and even visitors from outside California.

Hello EAA Chapters,

I apologize for not sending a more formal email to each of you individually. I wanted to share that we are creating a stamp passport program for all public-use airports across California.

This program is similar to those in other states and is designed as a fun activity to encourage pilots and aviation enthusiasts to visit airports they might not normally go to.

I hope you can share this with your chapter members to help spread the word about the program.

Thank you for your time and support,

Adam
