ea-utils build problem on Centos 5

greetings, I'm attempting to build the latest ea-utils (806) on Centos 5 (using gcc 4.1.2) but make is failing like so:

fastq-mcf.cpp:1315:   instantiated from here

./sparsehash/internal/hashtable-common.h:244: error: ‘operator()’ is not a member of ‘__gnu_cxx::hash<std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >’

fastq-lib.cpp: In function ‘bool poorqual(int, int, const char*, const char*)’:

fastq-lib.cpp:239: warning: converting to ‘int’ from ‘double’

make: *** [fastq-mcf] Error 1

sparsehash 2.02 thats bundled with the ea-utils tarfile builds successfully on its own though

i don't see a configure script so there aren't any knobs i can adjust... any suggestions?

try ruynning autoconf/automake in the sparsehash folder?
