The preview of Freed Spirits was awesome.
It's fun to see the creative process at work.
I was in awe of the playwrite, as she sat before a crowd of people she didn't know and invited them to pick apart the play.  Whew!
It's going to be a lot of fun... production will run around Halloween time and the story about Atlanta history in the Oakland cemetery, and the unlikely places that "family" arises.
Historical mystery comedy.  A little bit "Sherlock" meets "Scooby Doo."

Thanks to Melissa and Betsy for joining me!

It makes me think it might be time to start looking for another play. I have an idea for an EAV-centric play I am thinking of writing.
Speaking of... if any of you have an idea for an EAV play... send it over...   All ideas spark other ideas... even way "out there" ones.

Or if you have a play that looks fun... send it over.

I'd like to scale back a bit this time... about 60 minutes.
Contemporary street clothes so we don't spend a bloody fortune on costumes again.
Comedy with drama mixed in.

Go.

I don't hate the sequel, but it's not funny all the way through like LO3O was.  Anyone else read it yet?

I'd love to brainstorm ideas for this sometime, if anyone is up for it. Not feeling super creative right now in real estate class. This shit is dry as a bone!

EAV version of Midsummer's? Play with the characters, the script, update it, give it a spin?

I love that, but the first show we did was a twisted version of Midsummer.... "Midsummer Nights Texas Sized Nightmare"

I have a ton more pics too (on a hard drive somewhere). I need to find a good place to put them so people can peruse.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

The extent of a "kitchen" or "break room" here is a water fountain (literally) pissing distance from the bathroom. They won't even give us their wifi password. How the fuck am I supposed to win at Tinder when I'm bored without eating my data, goddammit?

Love Lysistrata and that is a totally fun play.  I had no idea that the Chi-raq movie that came out recently was a version of it.

I plan on watching Chi-Raq soon.
Lysistrata might be a real option...

My friend said he would look for his copy today. I'll touch base with him shortly to see if he's found it.
