Hi,

I read in a previous topic that the CSD tractography is not implemented for data with multiple b-values.

I would like to know if it is already possible or if it will be possible in the future.

Best regards,
Rui

Hi Rui,

No - it is currently not possible. Although it will probably not be included in the next release, it may become available in future releases.

Cheers,

Hi all,

Related to this post I would like to ask if it would be OK to do DTI based tractography with multishell data (3 non-b0 values), since ExploreDTI does not include CSD in multishell data yet.
Do you have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Cristina

Hi Cristina,

Yes, DTI-based tractography on multi-shell data is perfectly possible. However, depending on the data (i.e., b-values and number of DWIs per b-value) CSD tractography might still outperform DTI tractography. What is the data in question like?

Cheers,
Sjoerd

Hi Sjoerd,

Thanks for the info and for the quick reply!
I have 10 images b0, 25 b700, 40 b1000 and 75 b2800. Could that be an option?

Thanks in advance!
Cristina

Hi Cristina

As Sjoerd said, yes you could outperform DTI tractography using CSD on 75 b2800s or even 40 b1000s, depending on your purpose.

Cheers,
Behzad

Hi,

I agree with Behzad: using the 75 DWIs @ b=2800 should yield very good results with CSD tractography.
