When I calculate FA map by ExplorerDTI, in some where I see FA is above One ( 1 ) ; Is it true?

Have you used the plugin called "Export stuff to *.nii files" to export the FA map?

No, I follow based on manual for converting .nii to .mat.

I used .mat file for extracting FA map .

Hi Mohammad,

The FA in the *.mat file should not be used as it ranges from 0 to sqrt(3) (historic reasons)! So use the "Export stuff to *.nii files" to export the FA map as a *.nii file (that tool also takes care of any FA>1 values in case there were negative eigenvalues).

If you want to load that file in Matlab (assume it is called "Data_FA.nii"), then use the following command in Matlab:
[FA,voxel_size] = E_DTI_read_nifti_file('Data_FA.nii');
