Hi everyone,

eCampaigning Tool 0.2.0 Alpha 2 (aka Jon Special) is coming in a
few days and the issues Jon raised (and hence the alias as 'Jon
Special'). See his email at:

We are quite eager for it to be in a state that all of you feel
it is in a usable state, hence the focus on those issues.

Based on our experience with the Alpha 1 release, we've removed a
dependence (that we hadn't documented), improved documentation
and other things - so if you had problems installing it the first
time round, this version should go smoothly (and if not tell us
since it is working).

Once this version is out we have a range of non-critical issues
in our in-house issue tracker that we need to move to the public
eCampaigning issue tracker: thing list css improvements,
improvements in the way advanced features work, etc.

We'll let you know when Alpha 2 is released in a few days.

Cheers,

Duane

Wow.  I've never had a release codenamed after me before!  Very flattering. :-)

I'm looking forward to testing it out.

best,
jon

PS My formerly-urgent project that was pushing me to deploy eCTool for them got slowed way down thanks to some unexpected positive action on climate change by the government of British Columbia.  Which means I can now continue to test in a more leisurely way.
