Job Title: User Experience (UX) Specialist

Location: Waukegan, IL (Need Locals)

Duration : 12+ months

AbbVie is looking for an experienced user experience specialist to provide a user-centered design approach to the development of web-based solutions to help create intuitive, cohesive end-to-end user experiences. 

This role will work as part of a cross-functional team, working collaboratively with Business and IT to understand business requirements, user needs and technical constraints.

Core Responsibilities

Translate requirements into simple, intuitive user interfaces across platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile)

Design interfaces for simple websites to complex transactional applications

Create wireframes, navigation flows, user scenarios and personas Execute rapid prototyping, low- to high-fidelity

Write scripts and conduct usability testing; analyze results and provide recommendations

Write content for site labels and messaging Qualifications

Passion for simple, engaging, intuitive UI design 

Deep knowledge of UX best practices

5+ years UX/UI experience

Bachelor’s degree in design, communications, information science or related field

Strong attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Skills

Wireframing/prototyping tools such as Visio, Axure, iRise 

MS Office Suite

Understanding of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, content management systems

Writing for the web
