Hi there
For some time, i have found that the "send email as" feature (where
e4ward generates a destination email address for a nominated recipient
that will end up in his email box as if coming from my e4ward
address) .. sometimes fails in that the recipient does not in fact
receive my email. To work around this, i have resorted to sending
emails, with a cc to my e4ward address, and an essay explaining why
the recipient must use my e4ward address and not the one i am sending
from (my primary address).
... Less than optimal, i'm sure you will agree! But not one to give up
hope, i tried the standard approach again yesterday, only to find a
new problem: The email i received IN REPLY to my e4ward-forwarded one
arrives in my inbox from the recipient as if it was posted by my
e4ward address to my primary address!
Here are the details:
1. I generated a destination address for a nominated recipient, and
sent the email to this address, with a cc to my e4ward address just to
check that the email would actually get sent.
2. The recipient received the email, presumably with the sender's
address resolved to my e4ward address.
3. The recipient replied to my email, and i received it, but it
appeared in my inbox with a sender address that was my own e4ward
address, instead of his address. And with a destination address that
was my personal address, instead of my e4ward address.
Any thoughts on this?
TIA
