Hi all,

I have two announcements -- one really great and one not-so-great.
I'll start with the less fun of the two:

Amar and I are working to get the video posted from last week's
lecture. Without any additional technical support for the class, it
turns out that we're not having the easiest time doing the recording
and compression of the videos from lecture in order to post them. We
are expecting to be able to get this lecture posted and publicly
available on Monday and hopefully it will not take us a week in the
future. Also, for those of you who still may not have seen the
previous lecture, the Extension School agreed to make that lecture
public so that you could view it using their video system. I
apologize for all of this delay. What I can say is that since we are
live webcasting the lectures this semester, you can be sure to catch
them by attending the live webcast in SL on every other Monday night.
This coming Monday there is no live lecture, but please join us the
following Monday.

Now the fun stuff: Eric Rosenbaum's SL Blocks software is now
available for download for those who are at-large participants in this
class and who are willing to agree to be alpha testers for it. Since
this is not a public release, those who are interested in using the
software need to email me directly with your name (or a pseudonym/
avatar name) and a statement of your agreement 1) not to share the
download link or software with anyone else, and 2) to fill out the
evaluation form that we will make available later this week so that
Eric can get your helpful feedback. Email e4s...@gmail.com with
these agreements and I'll send you the download links.

Enjoy!
Rebecca
