First corporate donation to a charitable cause

Hi Solarites.

 

As agreed upon during our meeting today, e3 Council is making a donation to South Bay for Change, which will in turn donate the money to the Starbird Teen Center of San Jose for the Thanksgiving dinner that SBFC is helping to host this coming Tuesday for the teens and their families. This donation is our first to a community cause, so good work folks!

 

SBFC has a tutoring program set up at the center courtesy of Mari Houssni (Mari and I cofounded SBFC). The center helps disadvantaged kids in this low-income community to better themselves, stay out of gangs, and graduate from high school.

 

So thank you, everyone, for approving the donation. Several of our e3 members are also involved with SBFC: Sue, Vivian, Galen, Nathalie (who is also a tutor at the center).
