New Version Of LEED is in its Public Hearing Phase
Although the level of Insulation and reduction of air infiltration are both improving though energy code enforcement, obtaining LEED certification is still a thriving incentive program. A new version is nearing its completion and is about to hit the market (prepare to purchase new books). See the notice below and follow the links to learn more about this process and how you can interact with the newest LEED standard.
Mark your calendars for 5/1 - 5/15: Announced this morning, LEED 2012<http://www.usgbc.org/LEED2012> will be open for one final round of public review. The purpose of this final comment period is to show USGBC's final technical revisions based on public feedback, to incorporate a complete copyedit into a public version of the draft, and - importantly - to give you an opportunity to view a version of the draft where credit documentation development has positively impacted the credit requirements. The final publication is still expected in November at the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo<http://www.greenbuildexpo.org/>. (Also note: USGBC members who are interested in participating in ballot must opt into the LEED 2012 consensus body<http://www.usgbc.org/DisplayPage.aspx?CMSPageID=2602> by May 1).
