How to achieve this?

I have dansguardian and tinyproxy installed on my openwrt router. But I want to change to e2guardian. How to install it on e2guardian and configure it to use with tinyproxy?

Thanks for the great work!

Any ideas how to accomplish it?

Hi,

I guess you will need to set up a openwrt build environment and then build e2guardian for your target hardware.

I would suggest you look at openwrt web site and maybe post to their mailing list if you need help.  It may be that one of the openwrt maintainers, has previously ported dansguardian and will have some ideas on how to port e2guardian?

Regards
Philip

Hi Philip,

Yup, I've been trying to port it for 3 hours now. Despite a lot of problems, I think it'll be finished today.

Thanks

Versions 3 & 4 of e2guardian will support transparent http filtering, but do NOT support transparent https filtering.

The best way to is to use explicit proxying, i.e set up e2guardian as your http and https proxy server on all the client devices.

Philip

Hello Philip,

I already have a working e2guardian + tinyproxy set up on my OpenWRT device. My firewall is set up to redirect ports 80 and 443 to e2guardian(8080), http filtering is working but https filtering is not. Any ideas how to fix this?
