Hi

i start the installation of e2guardian and i have a small lot a question ;=)
if you can help me.

I am on Centos 7 and installing e2guardian-3.1.2-1.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm

1- When i start e2guardian, without change configuration i have a error:
     e2guardian[4500]: Couldn't open ca certificate
     e2guardian.service: control process exited, code=exited status=1
Failed to start E2guardian Web filtering.
anyone know if they have a howto for create this ca certificat ?

2- This server is for change a old server running with:
   squid-ntlm => dansguardian => squid
first squid for ntlm auth et last for caching.

e2guardian support correctly the ntlm auth ? (if i put directly e2guardian=> squid)
no problems with windows xp, seven, and last 8/10 ?

3- e2guardian support AD group auth for access control ?
on my old server, i use winbind for list all user of one group.

With dansguardian, I was enormously of problem, process crashed which caused downtime. it was every time killer processes that did not stop

thanks for your help
Olivier

Hi,

If you only have v3.1.2 available then you will need to set up certificates and keys as per the documentation in notes/ssl_mitm in order for this version of e2guardian to start correctly.  See https://github.com/e2guardian/e2guardian/blob/a02a51f259f6b67dd5743b5856f6377fb64bd9de/notes/ssl_mitm
