I am new to e2guardian still figuring how I should set it up. I hope these questions are not too trivial. I have searched several ways for answers but cannot seem to find any comments about these questions. After V5 is caching (reusing) data aleady filtered by E2guardian part of E2guardian or do I still need squid to reuse previously retrieved content? Is is possible or already functioning that already filtered content is not filtered again when reused?
Thanks for considering these questions.

I did some more reading and running squid and calling e2guardian in ICAP mode may well address some of the above issues. The order seemingly would address the problem where Squid could return cached content that was previously filtered. This does however generate another question. If the previously cached content was valid for the then requesting user and the e2guardian rules are different for other users could the Squid cache send the previous cached content to other potentially invalid users without checking because a valid user already caused the content to be loaded into the squid cache? I believe this is another interesting question.
