I've tried everywhere to find documentation of what url/port combination I am supposed to be using to access the interface.

Well, the last I used Dansguardian was in 2006 so my memory is a little faint and i might be wrong here. But if I recall there was a web gui that you could access by going to a url something like http:\\yourserveripaddress:445.

I am unable to find documentation on how to access the config of this thing. Is it all command line/ssh or is there an actual web gui? If so what is the port I should be using to access it?

Thanks

Hi Daryl,

no, e2guardian has no web interface. All configuration is done by editing the config flies and lists.
There are some vendors which embed e2guardian in their appliance and they have written a web interface.

Ok thanks for the info. As I was Googling this, trying to figure it out, I came across Webmin and had a lightbulb moment. :) I believe I was running Webmin on that server which gave me a "GUI".

Daryl, yes, you may use webmin to create your own GUI, or maybe reuse some existing GUI made for dansguardian years ago.
